Seven Souls سبع أرواح

Does Jamila believe in dreams? What about the medicine that her psychiatrist prescribes for her? Is there a secret that brings them together in one picture in a family album? She doesn't know. However, what is certain is that a feeling of not belonging and a loss of identity, further brought about by deaths in the family, urged Jamila to knock on every door. Through six imagined previous lives and a seventh dream, Jamila sails through time and space between Cairo and Port Said. Will she find the answers that she is looking for?

هل تصدق جميلة في الأحلام؟ في الدواء الذي تصفه لها طبيبتها؟ في التشابه الذي يجمع بينهم في صورة واحدة بألبوم عائلي؟ لا تدري. لكن.. المؤكد أن شعورًا بعدم الانتماء وضياع الهوية، ووعود ضيعها الفقد، والخوف من لعنة عائلية محققة دفعها لطرق كل الأبواب، حتى وإن اضطرها ذلك للبحث في الحيوات السابقة، والإبحار في الزمان والمكان بين ستة عوالم مشتابهة ومتباينة في آن واحد. إنها رحلتها الخاصة التي تخوضها دون اعتبارٍ للنتائج مهما كانت، أملًا في العثور على نفسها، فهل تنجح في ذلك؟

Afnan Fehead is an Egyptian writer born in Port Said. She studied history and the liberal arts. “Seven Souls” is her first novel.

أفنان فهيد، كاتبة مصرية مواليد بورسعيد. درست التاريخ ثم الآداب الحرة. بدأت الكتابة في عدة مواقع إليكترونية منذ عشرة أعوام، بينما "سبع أرواح" أول أعمالها الروائية.
